Ron Jones

Executive Chairman

Jones was the founder of Tinopolis in 1990 and has led the company since that time. He was previously a global partner in the accounting and consultancy firm Arthur Andersen.  Jones took the Company public in 2005 and this led to a rapid expansion, including a hostile takeover of the largest listed production company at that time, The Television Corporation PLC. In 2008 Jones and his management team bought the company back in partnership with the private equity company Vitruvian Partners.

Jones is Chairman of the Welsh Government's advisory panel for the creative industries and an honorary fellow of Swansea University and the University of Wales Trinity Saint David. He was formerly Treasurer of Glamorgan County Cricket Club, and is a director and former Chairman of the leading rugby team, the Llanelli Scarlets.
