Tinopolis US Chairman and CEO of A.Smith & Co, Arthur was inducted into the Realscreen Awards Hall of Fame on Tuesday 26 January, during the very first virtual Realscreen Awards - You can watch Arthur’s Hall of Fame Award segment from 01:08:57 in the video below.
The awards highlighted Arthur’s contribution to the industry is a pioneer in non-fiction television, and his work since founding A. Smith & Co. in 2000.
With more than 200 unscripted and documentary shows for over 50 networks, under Smith’s leadership, A. Smith & Co. has created some of the longest-running, culture-shaping unscripted series in television history, including Fox’s longest-running reality show, Hell’s Kitchen, which has since spawned numerous projects starring Chef Gordon Ramsay, flagship summer primetime show, American Ninja Warrior, recently aired its 12th season on NBC and garnered its fourth Primetime Emmy® Award nomination for outstanding competition program. Smith also developed and produced The Titan Games, a show of truly epic proportions featuring global megastar Dwayne Johnson, to name just a few.
Arthur also serves as chairman of Tinopolis Group U.S., which acquired A. Smith & Co. in 2011, and oversees the unscripted powerhouse Magical Elves, the Emmy Award®-winning production company.
