Sam joined Firecracker as an Executive Producer in 2016 after working for the company many times as a Producer Director on acclaimed films including Diaries of a Broken Mind, Mermaid Girl and the first ever episode of record-breaking series Big Fat Gypsy Weddings. Sam’s recent Firecracker exec credits include Secret Life of the Human Pups, The Brit Who Tried to Kill Trump, The Trouble With Dad, Baby Ballroom and the recent hit series Emma Willis: Delivering Babies. He is currently working on Sex Testers for E4 and Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over for W and in his new role Sam will continue to develop Firecracker’s slate of highly regarded, attitude changing docs and factual series.
Federico has been with Firecracker since 2013 and as well as running the flagship US series My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding on TLC for several seasons, he has been Exec Producer on some of Firecracker’s most enduring Factual Entertainment projects, including Dr Christian Will See You Now, 12 Hours To Cure Your Street and Bad Teen to Ballroom Queen. In his new role Fed will be spearheading Firecracker’s fact ent and reality output as well as working on Branded Content and US projects.
Jes Wilkins, Firecracker’s Chief Creative Officer, said: ‘With eleven brand new series across six different channels, 2018 has been a stellar year for Firecracker in the UK. Sam and Fed have been right at the heart of many of those shows and couldn’t be more deserving of these promotions. In their new roles they will continue to work with me, Creative Director of Factual, Emma Morgan, and Creative Director of Firecracker Scotland, Elspeth O’Hare. I’m delighted work with such a formidable group of senior creatives with a shared set of values and I couldn’t be prouder of my team. We are looking forward to making more cracking shows that go off with a loud bang in 2019!’
