PASSION DISTRIBUTION LIFESTYLE AND DOCUMENTARY SALES IN CEE

At Natpe Budapest International, Passion Distribution has concluded a raft of deals across CEE, including three packages in Poland and sales in the Czech Republic and Russia.

In Poland, TVN have acquired new lifestyle titles Where To I Do? (8 x 30’) and Chilli Hunter (8 x 30’) and the award-winning documentary series Unreported World Season 35 (6 x 30’). Produced by Bell Media Studios and Motion Content Group, Where To I Do? is the ultimate property makeover meets wedding series. Season 1 is currently the most watched new series on Gusto in Canada with season 2 already commissioned. Chilli Hunter from Beach House Pictures features world traveller and food-adventurer Tyson Mayr on the fiercest, fieriest and scariest culinary quest in Asia.

Also in Poland, TVP have picked up documentaries Big Ben: Saving The World’s Most Famous Clock (1 x 60’) produced by ITN Productions, Rain Media Entertainment & Big Red Productions’ Dara O’Briain Meets Stephen Hawking (1 x 60’) and Cannes: A Glamour Story (1 x 60’) from Pernel Media. Canal+ Discovery airing in Poland, has acquired The Weather Channel’s documentary series That’s Amazing (8 x 60’) which features pioneers of the great outdoors who challenge nature, seek out its limits, reveal its secrets and embrace its awesome and incredible power.

In the Czech Republic, Kinosvet has acquired a package of over 40 hours of mystery and investigation programming including Curious And Unusual Deaths S1 & S2 (19 x 30’), Autopsy: Most Shocking Stories S1 (6 x 60’), Close Encounters S1 & S2 (27 x 30’). Also included are a selection of The Weather Channel commissions including Forecasting The End (6 x 30’) from Ping Pong productions and Secrets Of The Earth (9 x 30’) from Flight 33 and American Supernatural (8 x 30’) from Sirens Media. Kinosvet have also acquired factual entertainment series Spies (4 x 60’) from Minnow Films and Motion Content Group.

In Russia, the Nautical channel has acquired comedy travelogue An Idiot Abroad S1, S2 and S3 (19 x 60) from Mentorn Media and Risk and Me & You featuring co-stars and executive producers Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant who send Karl Pilkington out to experience the wonders of the world.
