An episode of Free Speech, the live current affairs debate programme for those aged 16-34, which focused on young people and topics surrounding mental health, has been shortlisted for a Mind Media Award 2015.
The programme aired in October 2014 on BBC Three and was transmitted from a mental health hospital in London, and included an audience made up of those with a personal experience of mental health issues, and panellists Alastair Campbell, Dr Sarah Wollaston MP, Jon Ronson, and Zoe Hardman, and aired in September 2014.
The Mind Media Awards, sponsored by Virgin Money Giving, celebrate the best examples of reporting and portrayals of mental health in print, broadcast and digital media. The ceremony will take place in London on Monday 16 November 2015.
