Major deals include Foxtel (Australia) extending its commitment to the Charlie Luxton Lifestyle brand by picking up CHARLIE LUXTON’S HOMES BY THE SEA S3 (6 x 60’) and the brand new series CHARLIE LUXTON’S HOMES BY THE MED ( 6 x 60’), and a package of over 60 hours to Sky Italia including new entertainment competition series SKIN WARS: FRESH PAINT.
Foxtel’s Lifestyle channel in Australia has acquired the brand new lifestyle series CHARLIE LUXTON’S HOMES BY THE MED (6 x 60’) currently airing on MORE4 in the UK. In this series, Charlie Luxton sets off in search of the finest, the quirkiest, the most spectacular and the most unusual homes around the Mediterranean’s amazing coast. Foxtel has also picked up the third season of CHARLIE LUXTON’S HOMES BY THE SEA (6 x 60’) due to air later in 2016. Both series are produced by True North Productions for More4. Foxtel Arts has also licenced BEHIND THE STORY WITH THE PALEY CENTER S2 (6 x 60’) which features the stars and creators of televisions’ most popular and acclaimed series in TV’s ultimate fan festival. Produced by the Paley Center for Sundance TV - episodes in season 2 include Scandal, Agents of Shield, The Good Wife and Girls.
Sky Italia has acquired a package of over 60 hours for their pay and free entertainment channels including SKIN WARS: FRESH PAINT (9 x 60’) and SKIN WARS S3 (10 x 60’). SKIN WARS: FRESH PAINT is the new entertainment competition show featuring master of transformation, RuPaul Charles as host, as Skin Wars’ top former contestants mentor six new, highly accomplished artists. These artists are at the top of their game in their own disciplines, but leave their creative comfort zones to compete in body painting for the first time, attempting to win the $10,000 prize at the end of each show and become a Skin Wars: Fresh Paint Champion. SKIN WARS: FRESH PAINT and SKIN WARS S3 are both produced by Michael Levitt productions for GSN. Sky Italia has also picked up hit UGC show MAKE YOU LAUGH OUT LOUD S1-2 from producers Mentorn Media and documentary RICH KIDS OF SOCIAL MEDIA (1 X 60’) from Popkorn TV. The documentary goes beyond the two-dimensional postings and delves into the real lives of the world’s most affluent youngsters looking at what drives them to flaunt pictures of luxuries that beyond most people’s wildest dreams. The film aired on Channel 4 in December last year to an audience 1.27 million and was the second most watched programme of the day.
Further sales of SKIN WARS: FRESH PAINT and SKIN WARS S2 include True Visions in Thailand, whilst ABS CBN in the Philippines has acquired RICH KIDS OF SOCIAL MEDIA. In Sweden, TV4 has picked up MAKE YOU LAUGH OUT LOUD S2.
