THE NEXT GREAT MAGICIAN (6 x 60 & Format) is the brand new entertainment programme from Derren Brown’s Vaudeville Productions in association with Crook Productions for ITV1. THE NEXT GREAT MAGICIAN features the world’s best magicians performing their greatest tricks, many of them for the first time ever on television, as they compete to be crowned The Next Great Magician.
Once again, Passion Distribution is also bringing a bold and distinctive selection of documentaries to the international market. Titles launching at this Mipcom include a strong line up from Tinopolis’ Mentorn Media including THE WORLD’S MOST IDENTICAL STRANGERS w/t (1 x 60’) for Channel 4, SADDAM GOES TO HOLLYWOOD (1 x 60’) also for Channel 4, THE WOMAN WHO ATE A HOUSE (1 x 60’) for Channel 5 and THE HIPSTER HANDBOOK (1 X 60’)for BBC4. Other new titles include two investigative documentaries from Pernel Media into THE MYSTERY OF FATIMA AND THE THIRD SECRET (1 X 90’) and REVELATIONS OF THE GOSPEL OF BARNABAS (1 x 90’), both produced for RMC Decouverte.
Further titles include RICH KIDS OF SOCIAL MEDIA (6 x 60’) the entertainment series from Popkorn TV for E4 which followed a one off special for Channel 4.
There is also new content from The Weather Channel including THE WEATHER CHANNEL TOP TENS (8 x 60’), a series of documentary run-downs of the most extreme weather conditions and stories with episodes including Most Bizarre Weather, Weather Disasters and Weather Mysteries.
Returning series include RUPAUL’S DRAG RACE Season 9 (14 x 60’) staring RuPaul Charles fresh from his Emmy win for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Program 2016.
