CRICKET HONG KONG PARTNERS WITH SUNSET+VINE

Global TV sports producer and distributor, Sunset+Vine, which is part of the Tinopolis Group, has been appointed by Cricket Hong Kong to provide host broadcast services for the 2017 Hong Kong World Sixes and 2018 Hong Kong T20 Blitz. The announcement comes as part of Cricket Hong Kong’s plan to promote the sport in the region by delivering two world class cricket events each year.

Under the terms of the contract, Sunset+Vine will produce 22 live games across the duration of the two-day Hong Kong Sixes event plus additional content to complement the live action including features and interviews; profile pieces on the teams and players; regular highlights updates for social media platforms and extended highlights programmes of the Group Matches and Finals.

The partnership will enable Cricket Hong Kong to produce its highest quality broadcast production to date as it continues to build on the momentum from the T20 Blitz livestream last March, which attracted nearly 12 million views.

Sunset+Vine is the current production partner for all the International Cricket Council’s major events for the period 2016-2019, including the ICC World Cup and ICC World Twenty20 tournaments. Its team will be led by Huw Bevan who heads the SE Asia operation out of Singapore.

Cricket Hong Kong Director, Jonathan Cummings, said;

“We want to be innovative and forward-thinking in how we promote the game to our audiences and Sunset+Vine’s expertise will help us build our reach not just in Hong Kong but around the world.

“The Sixes is very much being built for the digital age and Sunset+Vine’s work in delivering huge social engagement for the Caribbean Premier League and Pakistan Super League made them a very attractive partner. Being able to attract interest from a global production company such as Sunset+Vine really shows how far we have come in a very short time.”

Huw Bevan, Executive Producer at Sunset+Vine, said;

“We will draw on our extensive cricket experience to help Hong Kong emerge as a leading cricket destination in the region. We are excited to commence the partnership. It’s an exciting, dynamic and entertaining format. We are aiming to produce a dynamic package which will allow cricket fans to watch all 22 matches live in full on a variety of platforms with an array of extra features and packages. The live action will be supplemented with extended short and long form highlights packages that showcase this exciting and distinctive cricket formats. We look forward to working with China Cricket International and Cricket Hong Kong to deliver an exceptional sporting experience.”

The Hong Kong World Cricket Sixes will be held on 28-29 October at Kowloon Cricket Club.
