The Tinopolis US company hires the BAFTA-nominated development executive from the UK to bolster programming slate
Magical Elves, a leading producer of award-winning nonfiction content including Bravo’s “Top Chef” and Netflix’s “Nailed It!,” has hired Dan Goldsack as executive vice president of development. In this role, Goldsack will head up the development team, oversee all development across the entire company and report directly to Co-CEOs Jo Sharon and Casey Kriley.
“It’s an absolute honor to join such a groundbreaking team at Magical Elves,” Goldsack said. “I’ve long been a fan of their authentic and uplifting first-to-market content, and I can’t wait to announce all the innovative projects we’re dreaming up together.”
Prior to joining Magical Elves, Goldsack, who has over twenty years of experience, was the head of factual entertainment at Burning Bright where he led their team in commissioning a wide range of series including “Joanna Lumley's Home Sweet Home” (ITV) and “When Ruby Wax Met…” (BBC). He was also the former head of development & executive producer for Mentorn, a Tinopolis company, where he developed award-winning reality and docuseries across every major UK broadcaster including “An Idiot Abroad” and the BAFTA-nominated “Katie: My Beautiful Face.” Additional projects of note across his career include “Big Brother,” “Last Chance Lawyer NYC,” “Elizabeth Taylor: Auction of a Lifetime,” and many more.
“Adding Dan to our team was a no-brainer,” said Magical Elves Co-CEOs Jo Sharon and Casey Kriley. “With his prolific track record and expertise in developing nonfiction content that leaves a lasting impact on viewers, we are privileged to welcome him as our newest team member and are excited for what’s to come.”
