Passion Distribution is delighted to announce a raft of international sales of factual entertainment medical series Don’t Tell The Doctor (10 x 60’).
Sales include Nine Network (Australia), TVNZ (New Zealand), Digitcast (Italy), SBS (Belgium) and Discovery (Africa), whilst the format is under option in US.
Don’t Tell The Doctor is a fresh, new factual entertainment series, which for the first time comes to the rescue of a generation who are taking medicine into their own hands. With GP services struggling to keep up with 21st century lifestyles and medical information more accessible than ever thanks to the internet and social media, self-diagnosis among young people is a growing issue and a serious concern.
In this series, a team of four talented young doctors rush to the rescue of self-diagnosing young men and women who have got themselves into serious trouble. Their mission: sort out a generation that often feels abandoned by their doctors. From angry acne and dermatitis ravaged bodies, to fungal infections, smelly feet, irritated private parts, diet pill junkies and steroid swallowing gym addicts; each episode sees the four doctors fix online misdiagnoses and DIY disasters, and treat the patients in trouble.
In the UK, Don’t Tell The Doctor premiered in primetime on 5STAR in February. The series is produced by Arrow Media.
Emmanuelle Namiech, CEO Passion Distribution said “Programmes focused on health and wellbeing continue to be in great demand, so we were delighted to partner with Arrow Media on this great show. The series delivers fantastic no-nonsense medical advice at a time when online self-diagnosis often proves misguided. Buyers have responded incredibly well to the fresh, direct and non-judgemental approach of the show, and we’re confident international audiences will find the series both engaging and informative.”
