Have you ever wondered what it takes to do sport climbing? The muscles you use, the technique you need to harness this skill?
The Red Bull and Pioneer Productions short film ‘What Happens to Your Body When You Climb’ is now live on YouTube.
As its set to make its debut in the Tokyo 2020 games, the film unpacks Olympic Sport Climbing with a dynamic and visceral visual approach, through the expertise and personality of the brilliant athlete Shauna Coxsey who is Britain’s most successful climber, having won gold 5 times at the British Championships, among many other accolades.
The film uses state of the art graphics to unpack what's happening inside her body when she climbs and pushes it to its limits and will explain the three very different disciplines: bouldering, speed and lead, which use three very different wall set ups and have equally distinctive sets of rules in terms of who is winning.
