A.Smith & Co’s ‘American Ninja Warrior’ spinoff series ‘Team Ninja Warrior’ is set to move to USA Network from its original home, the Esquire Network, where it was the channel’s most watched original series after launching last year. This move follows ‘American Ninja Warrior’s’ relocation to NBC after Esquire announced the partnership between NBCUniversal and Hearst Magazines is to cease operations as a linear TV network.
The 11 part series will premiere on USA at 10pm on Tuesday 18th April and will be hosted by comedian Matt Iseman and former NFL player Akbar Gbajabiamila. It will be executive-produced by A. Smith & Co. founders Arthur Smith and Kent Weed along with Brian Richardson.
Chris McCumber, President, Entertainment Networks, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment said “With this powerful franchise, we’re giving our passionate audience three full hours of jam-packed, high-stakes action every Tuesday night.”
